Some homes just seem to have star appeal. Take this 1.5 acre Beverly Hills estate, for example: not only is it the former home of Kenny G, Pete Sampras and Jon Peters, but Kate Jackson also held the title, and she bought it from famous TV producer/director William Asher (Bewitched, The Patty Duke Show, Gidget). Who knows how many other celebs have strolled its gorgeous halls?

Mindy Peters (Jon’s fourth ex-wife) has currently listed the the five bedroom, six bathroom home traditional style home for $6.795 million. She and her then-husband Jon Peters paid $3 million for the property when they bought it from Sampras back in 2004. Oddly enough, they weren’t big tennis players, which is a shame, because Sampras had added a regulation tennis court to the premises.

Mindy Peters added some designer touches of her own, however. She completely remodeled and expanded the residence to 5,500 square feet and gave it a Hamptons feeling that looks extremely elegant and fresh. There are hardwood and slate floors underfoot, and wood-beamed, vaulted ceilings overhead. There’s also a shiny new chefs kitchen with top of the line appliances and an elegant island. It conveniently opens up to a formal dining room and a family room with a wet bar. Upstairs there are two family bedrooms and a master suite with his/her bathrooms and closets—those last features are absolute must-haves for the properly appointed celebrity mansion.

As expected, location is one of the properties’ main attractions. It’s tucked discreetly away in Benedict Canyon, yet it’s just a few minutes from the designer shops, restaurants and business bastions of Beverly Hills. The home was built in 1976, so foliage has had plenty of time to mature, but it’s been tastefully tamed and new landscaping has been added.
