I don’t know about you, but I never did buy Tom Cruise as the Jack Ryan of Tom Clancy’s famous thrillers,although I love the character. Good thing Amazon recruited the far more appropriately long and lanky John Krasinski (who is also executive producing) to star in their new TV series, which premieres on Amazon Prime August 31. Lana Wachowski’s vibrant and sensual thriller based on eight mysteriously interconnected souls in far flung parts of the world has to be one of the most riveting and sexy (and expensive) series ever produced. Comedy series Black Monday has been ordered to series by Showtime. Don Cheadle executive produces and stars alongside Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall. The first episode will be directed by executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The series takes viewers back to “Black Monday,” October 19, 1987, the date of the worst stock market crash on Wall Street. It will premiere some time in 2019. Get more details on deadline.com.
