Will the real Jack Ryan please stand up?

I don’t know about you, but I never did buy Tom Cruise as the Jack Ryan of Tom Clancy’s famous thrillers, although I love the character. Good thing Amazon recruited the far more appropriately long and lanky John Krasinski (who is also executive producing) to star in their new TV series, which premieres on Amazon Prime August 31. There’s so much confidence in the new show that an eight episode second season has already been greenlit—even before the first one premieres! Find more details about the upcoming series here.

Two Wild and Crazy Guys on Netflix

One is Steve Martin of course, and the other is Martin Short. The longtime pals have just released an outrageously funny comedy concert special on Netflix, in which they share quips, catchy tunes and hilarious stories about their lives in comedy. It’s the perfect antidote for whatever ails you. It’s officially called “Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life,” and I promise you will laugh uproariously. Find it here.

The ‘Sense 8 Series Finale on Netflix Will Leave You Gobsmacked

Lana Wachowski’s vibrant and sensual thriller based on eight mysteriously interconnected souls in far flung parts of the world has to be one of the most riveting and sexy (and expensive) series ever produced. If you haven’t watched it yet, tuck in and prepare yourself for a wondrous binge watching experience. And once you hit the series finale, get ready for alternating nail biting suspense and tears of joy. It’s one of the most satisfying series endings ever!  Find the fabulousness here.

A little somethin’ somethin’ to anticipate

Comedy series Black Monday has been ordered to series by Showtime. Don Cheadle executive produces and stars alongside Andrew Rannells and Regina Hall. The first episode will be directed by executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The series takes viewers back to “Black Monday,” October 19, 1987, the date of the worst stock market crash on Wall Street. It will premiere some time in 2019. Get more details on deadline.com

Wait! What? Roseanne’s notorious self-immolating tweet was about anti-Semitism?

That’s what one of her latest tweets claims: “I want u all 2 know I’m fine. I’ve been using this time 2 reflect & 2 gain insight on what I said & how it was misunderstood.. Needless 2 say I’m NOT what people have accused me of! I’ve never practiced “RACISM” in my entire life & never will. Rod Serling wrote Planet of The Apes. It was about anti-semitism.” Then she continued “That is what my tweet referred to-the anti semitism of the Iran deal. Low IQ ppl can think whatever they want.” Read all about it on USA Today.
