Jodie Foster Returns to the Small Screen
Oscar winning actress Jodie Foster is returning to the small screen to star in the fourth season of HBO True Detective. She’ll also be credited as an executive producer of the award winning anthology.
Season four of True Detective, Night Country, is still in the development stages, but HBO describes it like this: “When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

All Star, Animated ‘The Hospital’ Staffs Up
Amazon just delivered new animated series The Hospital a two-season order. It’s a sci-fi comedy from the promising team of executive producers Maya Rudolph and Natasha Lyonne. And what a star-studded cast they’re lined up! It includes Keke Palmer, Greta Lee, Kieran Culkin, Sam Smith, plus Rudolph and Lyonne.
The series follows aliens, best friends and intergalactically renowned surgeons Sleech and Klak — as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops and deep-space STIs. Risking their careers to take on a remarkable case, they put existence itself in jeopardy, although considering their dismal personal lives, oblivion might be an improvement.

Streaming exclusively on Disney+ beginning August 17, the new comedy series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases.
The series follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. We are all in already!

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) and nonfiction producers’ organization NPACT today unveiled the nominees for the 2022 Critics Choice Real TV Awards, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.
The annual event returns to an in-person ceremony and gala this year, taking place on June 12 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Return to ‘Westworld’
Is this show still happening? We thought it jumped the shark when even the writers admitted they weren’t quite sure what was going on. But no, HBO has announced a fourth season, and actually, it looks pretty good. It returns for its eight-episode fourth season on Sunday, June 26.
The longline simply states, “A dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth.” That gives them a lot of leeway. But we will have a returning cast including Evan Rachel Wood, Emmy® winner Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul and Angela Sarafyan. In addition, Oscar winner Ariana DeBose joins the cast as a recurring guest star. We admit, we will watch.

Take a look at the new ‘Father of the Bride’
Coming soon to a small screen near you, a new rendition of Father of the Bride, this one about a Miami Cuban family, and starring Gloria Estefan and Andy Garcia.
It will still center on the father of a soon-to-be bride coming to terms with his daughter’s new life, and will be told through the relationships in a big, sprawling Latin family. Adria Arjona, Diego Boneta, Chloe Fineman and Isabela Merced also star.

Good News for Jack Reacher Fans
Alan Ritchson, the universally adored star of the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher, has just signed a deal to star in three films for the streamer. Of course he’ll have to fit it in between filming the second season of Reacher—the popular series was renewed three days after its Feb. 4 premiere. Reacher is one of Prime Video’s top five most watched series ever both domestically and globally.

When we heard Selling Sunset creator Jason Oppenheim had opened a brokerage and bought a luxe pad in Orange County, we knew it was just a matter of time before a spin off spun off. Sure enough, Netflix just launched the teaser trailer for Selling the OC on Netflix.
