Jill Kirsh Shows You How to Nail It On July 4th and Beyond
This time of year, where everyone feels seems to feel patriotic and dons red, white and blue for at least of a day, have you ever stopped to think that certain shades of those all American colors might look better on you than others?
Well it’s true—They do. And believe it or not, the shades that look best on you all depend on the color of your hair. That’s according to color expert Jill Kirsh, whose color system works for celebrities and common folk alike.
“Here’s the thing,” says Jill. “Your hair frames your face – your eyes, your smile. And when you lead with its color in fashion and beauty, you’ll look your most beautiful, vivid and put together.”
So why not extend that belief to your nails and toes for some major impact?
Below find Jill’s picks of the perfect red, white and blue for your nails and toes so you can rock this July 4th and beyond.
Note that while Jill says she is absolutely not in the nail color biz (yet), and this is not an ad for OPI, she does believe that a sale can spark things up on July 4th, so she’s offering you a 15% discount through July 4th, on all the products on her site, which include the all important swatch book, makeup and scarves. The Jill Kirsh guide to the right red, white and blue for you
If you have dark brown, black, salt and pepper or silver hair, like Andy McDowell, America Ferrera or Traci Ellis Ross, then a clear, true red, pure white, deep navy or even royal blue would be fabulous.
If you’re a warm blonde, think Kate Hudson, Dakota Fanning and Blake Lively, then poppy, ivory and aqua are perfection.
If you’re a redhead, like Jessica Chasten, or have golden brown or deep honey blonde hair, a la Jennifer Lopez or Jennifer Aniston, then an orange red, champagne white and teal blue are stellar.
If you’re an ash (white) blonde like Christina Aguilera or have gray hair, like Helen Mirren and Glenn Close, then wine, pearl white and a cool light blue are amazing.
