TV Swag, Movie Swag — Sharing the Love and Keeping You Up on the Latest

movie swag tv swag

One of the best parts of my job is answering the door every day and carting in an armload of super fun TV swag and movie swag. You see, as a film and TV critic, and as a member of the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and the Broadcast Film Critics Association, networks and studios are constantly trying to remind me of their productions, in hopes that I’ll remember them favorably come voting time for the Critics Choice Awards, or just write about them to create buzz among the general public.

And I have to say, some of the promotions are too clever not to share. Take the recent box I received from the NBC TV folks behind the series Superstore, starring America Ferrera, Ben Feldman, Nico Santos, Lauren Ash and Colton Dunn. They sent me an advance copy of their Halloween episode, (airing Thursday, Oct. 26, 8 pm), along with all the accessories I need to dress up as a Superstore Employee for Halloween night.

Frankie, growing tired of his sushi costume, just might be sporting the Superstore style come Oct. 31. He looks way better in it than I do.

This time of year, with the Critics Choice Awards just around the corner, the TV swag and movie swag is arriving fast and furious — there’s something new on my doorstep almost every day.

Far be it from me to let these hardworking folks’ efforts be in vain. Check back often to see what Frankie and I pounce on next.

New TV Swag!

This just in:

  • Brooklyn 99 baseball cap in honor of the Fox comedy series’ 99th episode
  • SuperMansion Halloween socks in honor of the Crackle animated series
  • But First…Cocktails! A stylish box of jelly cocktail candies from (who else?) NBC’s Will & Grace, in flavors Peach Bellini, Champagne Bears and But First, Rose

It being Halloween and all, Frankie likes the SuperMansion socks best
