Move over, Sketch Master – the Chic Sketch app is new, hot, and all about flaunting fashion! It is a couture-changing mobile app that converts everyday photos into Instagrammable style sketches in a matter of minutes.

Emily Brickel Edelson, the ace artist behind the app, has captured the most memorable images from the past year and shared them with us. Emily is a prominent fashion illustrator and designer. After running a successful Etsy Store, she co-founded @chicsketch and was named one of “Fashion’s Best Illustrators” by WhoWhatWear. (We tried the new app – check out our review at the end.)

Here are what Brickel Edelson considers the Top 10 Best Fashion Moments of 2015 from Chic Sketch – as pixeled personally by Emily!

I like Sketch Master because it’s easy to use and the result is instant – you upload your photo, and it creates a rendering in several different styles. Plus, it’s free. Chic Sketch is not free. (It’s $9.99 for a web-rez sketch, or $14.99 for print-rez.) But what’s really cool about Chic Sketch is that a professional fashion artist draws a portrait of you using their own hands. Rather than a computer making the decision, Emily or one of the other artists does a full color rendition of you as if you were in a fashion catalog, making you look like a runway model!

Or in my case, a sit-down model. When trying out the Chic Sketch app, I’ll admit I gave Emily and crew a particularly difficult photo to work from. I wasn’t trying to be mean – honestly, it was just the most recent photo I had in my iPhone album and I was in a hurry to try the app. It’s a snap of me and my boyfriend sitting by the fire, and it’s not only tinged in tones of gold, it’s not in focus, and we are all legs and arms… but check out the amazing result: So chic!
