Fashion Fling – "The Boy Next Door" and a Slave to the Stiletto

By Staci Layne Wilson
Even though nobody’s ever really wearing anything significant in the new J-Lo hot-n-heavy stalkerific thriller The Boy Next Door, there was indeed a costume designer. Her name is Courtney Hoffman.
Since I am a slave to the stiletto, the scene that immediately had my full attention was when Claire’s (Jennifer Lopez) hunky new neighbor Noah (Ryan Guzman) is sweet-talking her. Those two aren’t hard on the eyes, but my lustful stare was fixed on a bomb pair of leopard print, silver heeled, red-accented f-me pumps strategically placed in the foreground.
In this scene, Noah is sweetly complimenting Claire on her appeal (“Those shoes are for women trying to be sexy. You don’t need to try…”). Fast forward a few frames later, and it’s too hot for Claire’s clothes… she’s stripped down to her skivvies, which consist of strategically placed black lace and not much else.

After their encounter, she changes her mind (and starts wearing turtlenecks and ankle skirts). This doesn’t sit well with Noah – who, ironically, has no arc – and he goes from doting to dangerous in two scenes flat.
But enough about Claire’s life being in danger. You can read my The Boy Next Door movie review here for more on that.
Let’s get back to those shoes. Ah, yes. Here they are in all their gorgeous glory.

Alas, I see no brand anywhere on the shoes or the box. And in spite of many other blatant product placement shout-outs throughout the titillating thriller, these hottest of cool kicks go unnamed.
I guess that means I’m forced to console my craving with knockoff kicks.

Can you find out the brand of the leopard and red shoes in The Boy Next Door?
They are Giuseppe Zanotti from 2013 I believe (not positive on the year)
