Ooh La Bra!

Okay, so you’re at an outdoor barbecue wearing a strapless maxi dress, you accidentally step on the hem of said dress, and much to your horror (and the male guests’ delight), your bodice suddenly slides down to your waist, exposing your goods to countless beholders. I found out about this clever little item at the Fifth Annual Emmy Style Lounge & Party at Fig & Olive, in West Hollywood. Ooh La Bra is basically a line of glamorous, glittery bra straps that are meant to be seen. You can attach them to your strapless bra or dress, or wear them as a halter, as I like to do, and then hide them under a chunky neckless. They hold everything in place, without looking like your underwear is showing. A sexy black bra strap may be provocative in some instances, but with a pastel colored strapless dress, not so much.

They come in pearls, crystals, beads, chains, leather or various combinations. A set will set you back from $13 on sale to about $40, which is a small price to pay for your dignity. The company is created and run by some super savvy gals from the Big Easy, where bustiers and bling abound, and they give back a percentage of their sales to breast health related causes.
