I see so many celebrity homes come and go, but very few actually make my mouth water like the Hidden Hills estate former Bond girl and ex-Mrs. Charlie Sheen Denise Richards recently put on the market. Forget the lush grounds and the lavish interior, I’m totally into this place for the dog hotel/kennel. One of my fondest fantasies involves fostering numerous canines and helping them find fur-ever homes. Of course we’d all be living in luxury together on these extensive grounds with an asking price of $7.749 million.

I’m also kind of in love with the walk-in closet/dressing room/sitting room that features enough wardrobes, dressers and shoe racks for the most committed clothes horse, plus a built-in hair and make-up station and two velvet upholstered banquettes surrounding a gas fireplace, so your friends or hubby can hang and sip champagne while you’re getting ready to go to a big event, and give you their invaluable opinions on your ensemble. You could actually have a party in your closet!

All totaled there are six bedrooms, six baths and two half baths in the 8,284 square foot, traditional-style home that sits on a 1,144 square foot lot.

It was originally built in 1991, and Richards purchased it in August 2007 for $4.395 million. She’s had it on and off the market several times since then, and spent over a million on redoing the place.

Why she hasn’t chosen to live there recently I’ll never know. She seems to prefer living with her daughters in the Mediterranean mansion Mulholland Estates that Sheen bought in late 2011.

The Mulholland estate must be some outrageous place, because a family could have a lot of fun in and around the recently listed Hidden Hills home. It features two pools–one for adults, one for the kiddies, both joined by cascading waterfalls.

They also have a  grotto,

their own sandy beach,

and a custom built 800 square foot cabana and an outdoor kitchen. Oh the family parties you could throw!

The somewhat conservative exterior belies the Hollywood-fancy interior. Beyond the grand two-story entry

lies a fab living room with a back-lit onyx fireplace, a wet bar, built-in lounge type seating and cathedral ceilings.

The gourmet kitchen has state of the art appliances, a built-in pizza oven and a breakfast nook.

Other interesting features include a wine tasting room with custom temperature controlled wine walls, two separate offices, a dining room that can seat 10

and a spacious media room.

In case you’re wondering what the 44-year-old actress is doing these days, you can see her regularly on Access Hollywood segments presenting adoptable shelter dogs and other animal welfare projects. She’s starred on several TV series over the past few years, including her own reality show, but none of them had much staying power. Next up for her is a series called Vanity, and the holiday family film Christmas Switch.
