Fabulous Finds at the Oscar Secret Room Luxury Lounge

Have you ever wondered how stars (and non-stars like myself) can schlep home hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of swag from events like the Secret Room Events Beauty Bar and Luxury Lounge? Do we back up a U-Haul to the W Hotel and crate it out on a dolly? Perhaps line up an Uber fleet and caravan it all hone? Nah — you’ve probably already figured out the answer. Many of the most valuable items come in the form of gift certificates.
Take the stays at fabulous resorts and hotels for example. You’ll be seeing Oscar nominees and winners like Steve Carrell, Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton, Eddie Redmayne, Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Duvall, Edward Norton, Ethan Hawke, Mark Ruffalo, J.K. Simmons, Patricia Arquette, Laura Dern, Keira Knightley, Emma Stone and Meryl Streep, on Windstar Cruises. They appeal to celebs because they have the absolute finest luxury and amenities on small ship, yacht-style cruises, and take you to the world’s best destinations.
The above listed celebs were also given stays at the following resorts, so you’ll be able to see them there as well:

Aitutaki Lagoon Resort : The Cook Islands are the hottest destination in Polynesia right now, and this luxury resort there is on its own private island and features beachfront and over-water bungalows with panoramic views.

Langham Place: Everyone needs a place to stay in New York City, and Langham Place is nestled in the coveted Midtown Manhattan district. Perfectly sized with 214 luxury guest rooms and suites designed to relax, inspire, and surprise, you’ll see me there too, because it’s my new, favorite New York hotel.
Aria Hotel Budapest: This is the premiere 5-star luxury hotel and spa in the center of Budapest, near St Stephen Basilica, the Danube, Opera and more.
Westglow Resort & Spa: This top-rated luxury destination spa, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains offers leisure, recreation, and rejuvenation. They also offered us coffee beans, my new favorite coffee cup, and a few other goodies, as constant reminders of where to stay when we’re in the area,
Old Bahama Bay : This all-suite beachfront resort located on beautiful Grand Bahama Island features a 72 slip marina and a private airport–just the thing for celebs who don’t like to fly commercial.
Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villa Resort & Spa: This is a relaxing island getaway located in the Gulf of Thailand amongst coconut palms and steps from the powdery sands of Thong Nai Pan Noi beach. Thailand is a chic, favorite destination of the stars.

I was amazed and impressed to see that the stars were also receiving certificates for Imperial Fine Books, doubtless one of the most refined, intellectually and esthetically stimulating gifts ever offered in an awards suite. Imperial is a purvey of beautiful, leather bound sets and fine bindings in literature, history, poetry, children’s and more. Their catalogue is a bibliophile’s dream. No library or bookshelf is complete without several of these beautiful editions.
I’m thinking the most coveted item at the Secret Room Events Beauty Bar and Luxury Lounge was Ancestry.com’s DNA kit. I say this because of all the great goodies I brought home, this is the one my husband fell upon and wrestled from my grasp. Then my sister stopped in and joined in the fray, and the neighbors also got into the mix when they came by to check out the noise. All this, and it was the one thing I couldn’t wait to use myself. Heavy sigh…

I had to calm myself with a little libation from Testa Wines of the World, Ltd. At the Luxury Lounge, they were pouring Underagga Wine, commonly known as “U,” and Debbie Lane, who runs Testa with her son and daughter, made me laugh with the slogans they’d come up with: “It’s all about U,” “She only has eyes for U,” “All she wants is U,” the list goes on.
I eschewed a wine glass, preferring instead to use the beautiful Good Earth mug, and write about the whole incident in the matching illustrated journal I found in my gift bag. Good Earth’s products for bed and bath, entertaining, wellness, children and gifts are really quite stunning.
Every time I attend a suite like this, there’s always a product or two that really throws me. This time there were a couple. I was posing on the Red Carpet in front of the Step and Repeat with the pretty purple G Vibe 2 from Fun Toys before I really knew what I was holding or how it worked. It’s shape suggested a hand mixer, but I was soon corrected — but now soon enough.
I knew what No Mo ‘O’ was the second I laid eyes on it, however and grabbed a couple of bottles to use at home where Australian Labradoodle Frankie Feldman is in the midst of house training, and my two cats are pissed off about him. PS: It really works as promised!
Among my favorite gifts are the ones the whole family can enjoy without fighting. The yummiest came in the form of two delicious mixes from The Invisible Chef. I received a Mocha Latte cake mix, and Bacon, Cheddar, Onion Muffin mix. I’m going to use them to get back in good graces with my husband.
All this, and I also received gorgeous, bejeweled, limited edition flip flops from Uzurii luxury footwear, and a lime green bikini from Elizabeth Jane Swimwear, to make my stays at the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort in the Cook Islands and at Langham Place in New York all the more stylish? Can a girl get any luckier than that?
