The Fascinating Truth About Greg-Gary’s ‘White Lotus’ Villa Revealed—and How You Can Rent It for Yourself

The White Lotus” Season 3 has been full of twists and turns—with the ultimate twist set to unfold in the series finale when it airs tonight.

All eyes will be on the fictional Thai resort as viewers wait to learn which of the guests falls victim to an unfortunate—and potentially gruesome—death, with online conspiracy theories suggesting that almost every main character could well be at risk.

But while the latest installment of showrunner Mike White‘s hit series has proven all but impossible to look away from thanks to the gripping plot, there has also been another scene-stealing element to add to each episode’s appeal: the jaw-dropping real estate.

One home in particular has captivated the attention of audiences—that of mysterious villain Gary, played by Jon Gries, who appeared in the first two seasons of the show as Greg, a man who seemingly vanished shortly before his wealthy wife died while fleeing from a group of would-be assassins.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath to see if Greg-Gary, as he is now known, will ‘fess up to hiring the men who tried to kill his spouse in a bid to gain control over her vast fortune—especially after it was revealed that he has been living in the lap of luxury since moving to Thailand, where he resides in a spectacular hilltop villa.

In reality, however, it seems there was no property quite sensational enough to serve as Greg-Gary’s Thai dwelling—so much so that the production team actually rented two equally dazzling homes to play the part of his home.

Remarkably, as first reported by Curbed, the two homes are not even on the same island; however, they share a number of other qualities, including the fact that they are both available for rent.

This elegant, contemporary, ocean-view villa is perched just above the tranquil Plai Laem Beach, on Ko Samui. It’s actually available for rent on Airbnb, at the somewhat reasonable rate of $19,022 for five nights.

Up to 14 guests can enjoy the seven bedrooms and 8.5 baths, plus lavish amenities including an infinity saltwater pool, a professional gym, a plush cinema, floating stairs, reflection pools, and a game room.

Those who played Greg-Gary’s guests in “The White Lotus” certainly did.

It’s one of several villages on a posh estate, where all who stay there enjoy uniformed security, water and island views, tennis courts, and daily breakfast.

Amaravida

Other scenes, like when Greg-Gary Googles another character from Season 2 who suspects she knows his nefarious background, take place in Amaravida, on Phuket overlooking the coastline of Cape Yamu.

One of 26 villas in a 60-acre gated compound, it features seven bedrooms, seven full-time staffers, two pools (one with a glass side), a wine cellar, a video golf course, a hot tub on the roof, private beach access, and some of the best water views in Thailand.

It rents for $5,698 to $13,650 per night, according to Curbed.

Want a ‘White Lotus’-worthy estate closer to home?

While jetting off on a five-star vacation to a luxury resort in Thailand is a dream to most, it’s not the most practical way to enjoy a taste of luxury.

Thankfully, there are plenty of posh pads in the U.S. where that kind of lavish resort-style living is readily available, if you’re willing to pay a premium.

Much like Greg-Gary’s villa(s), all of the “White Lotus”-worthy homes have one key component in common: They provide the ultimate in five-star amenities, many of which have been chosen specifically to help residents relax and de-stress.

Fancy a soak in a private saltwater pool? Look no further than a $135 million Miami mansion. Or perhaps you would rather relax in an in-house sauna? Then a $47.5 million Palm Beach estate might be the place for you.

What ever your preference, there’s a five-star property perfectly suited to your tastes.
