At last, in late July, they finally found a buyer for their seven bedroom, nine bath pied a terre. A private equity executive offered them $16,808,000 for their precious property, and a deal was done.

Perhaps they got a bit antsy, having purchased another Beverly Hills abode, not too far from the home they just sold, in September 2020.

Shed no tears for them, however. It’s not as if they’re losing money on the sale. Legend and Teigen bought the 8,520-square-foot home from pop star Rihanna for $14.1 million back in 2014. Then they proceeded to spend an untold amount customizing the residence to meet their needs.

And am I ever loving what they did to the place! Of course there are more than five things I’m gaga over, but since I’m all about being succinct these days, I thought I’d whittle it down to five quintessential picks:

You’ll recognize the upgraded kitchen from Teigen’s cooking videos that can be found all over social media. She’s worked enough wonders in that kitchen to write a New York Times bestseller, titled Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat, and a follow up, Cravings: Hungry for More. Just imagine what you could do in that ultra photogenic space!

That Glam Room!

Only in the John Legend and Chrissy Teigen house would you find a master suite with a “Glam Room,” featuring hair and makeup stations as well as wardrobe racks and its own private balcony with glass sliding doors, in order to let the natural light in. Can’t you just see John kicking back in that giant spaceship-cockpit-looking-massage-chair while Chrissy gets her do on? I’m still trying to envision what it would be like to have a whole crew working on me at home.

That Closet!

Bigger than most people’s apartments, this one was designed to be “evocative of a Chanel showroom,” according to the listing. Hey, if you have $17 million to spend on the John Legend and Chrissy Teigen house, you have enough money to buy the clothes, shoes, purses and accessories to fill the massive closet!

That Family Play Room!

C’mon, could this play room be any cuter? We’re sure the A-list couple’s adorable little son and daughter made great use of this fantasy room, and that anyone else’s kids would as well. Note the juice/candy bar in the corner. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.

That Home Theater!

Naturally I’m a sucker for a cushy home theater, and the John Legend and Chrissy Teigen house has one of the cushiest! In fact, it’s so comfy looking I fear I may fall asleep in the middle of the film! Still, since it has all the latest theater and sound equipment, we may just be able to keep our eyes open for the duration.
