The contest is all about telling the world about how and why you want to protect your home and the things/people you love. “We want to help you protect whatever makes your house a home,” said an ADT official statement. From now through March 16, you can enter the “Pass the Protection” contest to win a $250,000 home makeover designed by Jonathan and Drew Scott, plus a full ADT professionally installed smart home security system with three years of service.” The winner and their home will also be featured in an ADT video.
“Originality and creativity are important!” according to the contest website. Taking a cue from Jonathan and Drew, if they can use puppies to get my attention, you can bet I’ll be using Frankie Feldman to get theirs.
How do I enter to win a free home makeover?
The exact details can be found at ADT.com. But in brief, it involves making and posting a public video telling ADT what you want to protect and why. You can post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and you must include the hashtags #PassTheProtection #Contest and tag up to 3 friends you want to pass the protection to. You also must tag and follow @ADTsecurity.
Of course there are quite a few more specific instructions, things like you must be a homeowner at least 18 years old, you can’t use images of people other than yourselves without written permission, etc. Official Rules can be found here. There are also plenty of great example entries on the website.

The only way I can think of to find out is to contact the source he entered with. It usually takes quite some time for them to make these decisions, however, and with the lockdowns these days, it might take even longer. Don’t lose hope yet!
