How I Use CBD for Fitness at Home in Hollywood (Don’t Worry — It’s Perfectly Legal)
It’s not naughty and I don’t get high! Here at home in Hollywood I use CBD for fitness, and a Wall Street Journal article just might back that up.

I saw an interesting article in The Wall Street Journal this morning: “Fitness Devotees Are Getting Stoned to Stay Toned — Pot helps relieve the pain and boredom, they say. Be careful you don’t fall asleep.”
Now I’m not a stoner. Never have been, never will be. But I am a fan of staying toned and working out well. My recent forays into CBD Land (remember Frankie Feldman is now the ambassadog for BioFit 360) have lead me to investigate the benefits of CBD products derived from the industrial hemp plant, not the marijuana plant. You know — the cannabis products that don’t get you high, and are legal in all 50 states.
So from research and personal experience, I can tell you that there’s something to these people’s claims that the CBD in the products they’re taking can indeed help manage pain, inflammation, focus, boredom and muscle recovery—not only before an after workouts, but in other phases of life as well. That stoned feeling the article mentions that can have some negative reactions like injury and dopiness, can be avoided if you just lay off the cannabis products that also contain THC.
Let me give you a real life example that sold me on it:
Anyone who has lengthy interactions with little kids knows how exhausting it can be, both mentally and physically. Not only does it involve non-stop running around, but there’s also seemingly never ending bouts of tedious repetition—playing the same game, reading the same books, telling the same story, over and over and over… it can be positively mind-numbing!
But we love the little munchkins, so sacrifices must be made.
The first time I tried a non-THC CBD product was on a long, hot summer day, when I planned to go swimming with the nieces and nephews, ages 1-15. Before jumping in the pool, there were some family business matters that needed taking care of, and I was given a couple of gummies (30 mgs of CBD each), to help get me through that and the aqua hijinks that would follow.
I didn’t feel a rush or a buzz, so I didn’t think they were working, until about four hours of non-stop water play later, when the kids were all exhausted and ready for popsicles and a nap, and I’m still in the pool bouncing around shouting “Hey, where’s everybody going? Come back! We need to toss the beach ball back and forth about 500 more times!”
Now when a 60-year-old can outlast a six-year-old, you know there must be something there.
Pain/fitness specialist Dr. Rob Pomahac explains how you can use CBD for fitness this way:
“There is a connection between the body’s endocannabinoid system, pain and inflammation management, and exercise,” he says. “Consequences of exercise are an accumulation of lactic acid and microscopic damage to the muscle fibers. This inflammatory response and tearing of muscle tissue sets up the body’s natural inflammation response, resulting in aches and stiff muscles. Research has found that because of CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties, it can be used to relieve muscle soreness, as well as shorten recovery time following your workout.”
Dr. Rob recommends BioFit 360’s Revive tincture or Gummies before a workout, and Relief tincture afterwards. I’ve found that the gummies and Revive also help me focus and relieve stress, so I’m free to dedicate myself to the task at hand, and not waste my energy on the thousand other things that are happening at the same time.
Now the Relief tincture is the first thing I reach for when I have sore muscles from working out or whatever. And I put a dropper-full of Revive under my tongue or pop a gummy when I need to perk up and concentrate, without an annoying buzz (bye bye, afternoon coffee break).
Hey, it’s perfectly legal!
