Dishing on Design on The Craig and Robbie Hour
I just love me some Craig Olsen and Robbie Laughlin, hosts of the tres fabulous and colorful Craig and Robbie Hour. They got me to reveal all sorts of very personal, deep dark secrets I hadn’t thought about in years when I guested on their Global Voice Broadcasing network show, even though I was there to talk about AtHomeInHollywood.com and celebrity real estate.
Oh sure we spoke of J-Lo’s home with the gorgeous bathroom, and Patrick Dempsey’s Malibu beach home that has a guest house made from a gleaming stainless steel Airstream trailer. We dished on Stevie Wonder’s favorite colored room and Max Azria’s lavish Holmby Hills mansion. Then there was a discussion of the elegant Hancock Park properties belonging to Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas and Patti LaBelle.
The reason that the guys are so conversant on the subject of homes and decor is that they’re both design experts. Craig has his own interior design company, Craig Olsen Design, an upscale furniture boutique with a glam vibe, selling contemporary furniture, accessories & lighting. Robbie’s design expertise is more along the lines of fashion, and he’s starred as an expert on shows on E! A&E, TLC and Q. Together they host a raucous Hollywood lifestyle talk show that will have you ROFL, and possibly losing control of your urinary tract.
And as an added bonus, they assured me that guests on their show always have an amazing streak of good luck after appearing with them–that their most lofty dreams come true, sometimes in even better ways than they dared hope. Either that or they die a terrible death, which would not be my first choice. I’m still waiting for my life to change in a good way, and am thinking that perhaps it already has, I just don’t know about it yet. In any case, “All right, Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up.”
Find some of the highlights of the show in the video I put together above, or see the whole thing at GVBStudios.com.
