Jimmy Kimmel Lists Home With Amazing Taste (Who Knew?)
When you think of a home fit for talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, you might imagine the ultimate party pad with a state-of-the-art media room, beer tap, and perhaps a trampoline in the back yard, leftover from his Comedy Central The Man Show days. What you probably wouldn’t imagine is an uber-cool Hollywood Regency style home with exceptionally tasteful design and decor. What’s more, it’s the most reasonably priced celebrity home I’ve seen in ages, if not ever–$2.3 million for this five bedroom, five up-dated bathroom beauty.
It’s located in the Hollywood Hills near the Cajuenga Pass, just South of Universal Studios. And yes, it does have the aforementioned beer tap outside, but it also features one of the finest kitchen/dining areas I’ve ever seen, with a Wolf cook top, double Bosch ovens, a Subzero refrigerator/freezer, a separate ice maker, a working soda dispenser, and swinging pantry doors. The adjacent dining/media lounge has a diner-style glass pastry case, an electric adjustable dining table with a seating booth, and four TV screens.
Add to that something that appeals to my family’s particular taste, a recording studio with a professional sound booth, and you’ll find me frantically (and vainly) scrambling for the necessary $500,000 down. Oh well. The payments would kill me anyway. Still, if the new buyers see this, my non-shedding dog and I would appreciate an invite for a dip in the pool.
