The clever folks at Brother UK have been dreaming about that very subject a lot lately. Apparently they have some wildly creative team members, who came up with ideas for what your workplace would look like in offices designed by famous movie directors.

Imaginary Offices Designed by Famous Movie Directors

Wes Anderson

Inspired by Anderson’s strong visuals and symmetrical cinematography, this office includes a retro color palette, vintage furniture and art deco ceiling lamps. With elements borrowed from The Grand Budapest Hotel and Moonrise Kingdom, this office certainly makes you feel as if you’ve have gone back in time.

Tim Burton

Burton’s signature style makes for a gothic and low-lit office space. Notice how elements have been taken from several of his highly stylised films, with nods to the melancholic Edward Scissorhands and a distinct floor pattern inspired by Beetlejuice. Can you spy the Cheshire Cat Grin from Alice in Wonderland?

Stanley Kubrick

Inspired by two of his greatest movies – Space Odyssey 2001 and The Shining – this office space features key visual elements such as a sinister and iconic pattern from The Shining, and the juxtaposition of classical sculptures against futuristic elements. Check out the monolith at the front of the room, as featured at the start of Space Odyssey 2001.

Guillermo Del Toro

Inspired by his distinctive style that merges the worlds of monsters and comic books, this office could be part of a science lab. Taking elements from The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy, notice that this office has an industrial touch, with metal bookshelves and ceiling lamps.

Baz Luhrmann

It’s showtime! This office space was inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s lavish and theatrical style. From Moulin Rouge to The Great Gatsby, this office features distinct visual elements such as a red color palette and lighting reminiscent of early-20th Century theatres.
