When Mina Starsiak Hawk and her mother, Karen E. Lane, of the HGTV’s “Good Bones” bought this Indianapolis house for $45,000 in 2016, it was little more than an unfinished wooden box on a foundation.

The Two Chicks and a Hammer construction company principals put $135,000 of their own money into the renovation. And they ended up selling it for $230,000 in 2016. The whole process was documented on a Season 2 episode of “Good Bones.”

The place was most recently sold again in 2020 for $345,000.

And now, the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath abode is listed yet again. This time, the spiffed-up space is on the market for $449,900.

The 2,460-square-foot home sits on a long, narrow, 3,485-square-foot lot near the city’s popular Fountain Square area. It doesn’t have much of a yard in the front or back, so Starsiak Hawk added a private deck in the side yard, right outside the kitchen. Charm galore!

In her design, Starsiak Hawk also included a gracious front porch with a swing.

One of the home’s highlights is its open kitchen, which boasts double French doors, butcher block countertops, a white-tile backsplash, and custom-built island.

Another standout feature is the custom bookshelf the Two Chicks and a Hammer team built at the top of the stairs.

And just down the hall, the spacious primary suite includes an en suite, double-vanity bath and a large, walk-in closet.

There are three other bedrooms in the house, and the one on the main floor would be especially useful as a home office.

The home’s location is terrifically convenient. Residents can leave their cars parked at home and walk to nearby Fountain Square attractions, including the Hi-Fi music venue, restaurants, shops, and entertainment hot spots.
