I may not think much of her sartorial style, but I’ll say this for Miley Cyrus — she’s got killer taste in real estate–and in men. Shortly after announcing that she is re-engaged to the hunkalicious Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, she decided to plunk down $2.525 million for a four bedroom, three bathroom midcentury modern in Malibu, just east of Paradise Cove.

Keep in mind that the singer/songwriter/media sensation could well have afforded something more grand, but when it comes to living space, the 23-year-old likes to keep it real, as is evidenced by the five-acre equestrian estate in star-studded Hidden Hills that she purchased last year for $5 million. Again, she could have afforded something much shinier, newer and more expensive, but just how much does a 23-year-old need to spend on real estate?

Her new Malibu pad has a large, open great room/dining room that flows into a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar.

Among its other fine features are a media room and a master suite with a private balcony overlooking the two-plus acres of lushly landscaped grounds.

Those grounds can be accessed by bi-fold glass doors that open to a trellis-topped patio.

They also include fountains and rolling lawns, and a spa wrapped in a gazebo.

The two-car garage has an electric charging station… for a Tesla, perhaps?

You might be wondering how she could purchase a house in Malibu with that much land for such a relatively low price. Well, consider the fact that it has neither beach access nor beach view, nor pool. She still got a good deal on the place, though. It originally came on the market in September for $2.995 million and was reduced to $2.75 million before the owners accepted her $2.525 million offer. There is, after all, some redecorating to do, because it will be some years before the couple will be appreciating that Spiderman bathroom,

and the Cars bedroom.

Come to think of it, she might have purchased this as a rental for a friend or family member with kids, so that they’ll be near and dear to her in Malibu. Last month TMZ caught her backing a U-Haul up to Hemsworth’s $6 million-plus Malibu pad. The couple reunited late last year, and she has been seen sporting Hemsworth’s engagement ring since January.
