“Shrek” star Cameron Diaz and rocker Benji Madden will soon have one less posh property to manage, now that they’ve listed their farmhouse compound in Beverly Hills‘ haute Benedict Canyon enclave for $17,800,000.
Four years ago, the married couple dropped $14,695,000 for the seven-bedroom, 8.5-bath mansion on a lush and leafy 1.6 acres.
The entrances to the forested property are gated, and a discreet security system watches over it all.
The interiors offer a little slice of paradise, with every inch swathed in tasteful natural materials like stone and wood and sunlight streaming in through the large windows.
The ceilings are high, beamed, and coffered. French doors and fireplaces abound throughout.

While the double-height great room is light, bright, and white, the mansion is anything but monochromatic, as so many modern homes are.
The walls in the dining room are a moody, textured copper color, and the built-in cabinetry is made of rich, dark wood.
The impressive office also has a darker palette and impressive, dark cabinetry.
You would expect a more somber color scheme in the home theater, and this one doesn’t disappoint. However, it’s set up like a plush lounge rather than a formal theater, which is an original and elegant touch.

And those rooms are just on the first floor. The second floor devotes an entire wing to the primary suite, which features a fireplace, sitting area, dressing area with double closets, and double baths.
The guesthouse can also be configured as a home office.
The immaculate grounds feature a pool with waterfalls that is tastefully childproofed with a black, wrought-iron fence and stucco walls, all camouflaged by greenery.
The landscape is also highlighted by walking paths through hillside gardens, rolling green lawns, and shaded conversation areas.
Once this Benedict Canyon estate is off the books, Diaz and Madden will still have an impressive luxury real estate portfolio.
In 2022, the couple shelled out $12.67 million for a six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion spanning almost 11,000 square feet in the seaside Montecito community. Neighbors there include Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ellen DeGeneres, among other celebrities.

They also reportedly own a $9.5 million condo in New York City, as well as Diaz’s longtime home above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills.
Diaz, 51, was one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars before she took a break from acting in 2018. She memorably starred in raucous comedies such as “The Mask,” “There’s Something About Mary,” and “Charlie’s Angels,” as well as more serious fare such as “Being John Malcovich,” “Vanilla Sky,” and “Gangs of New York.”
She recently ended her Hollywood hiatus, announcing that she would star in the Netflix action comedy “Back in Action” and that she would reprise her voice role as Princess Fiona in “Shrek 5.”
Madden, 45, is the guitarist for Good Charlotte. He formed the band with his identical twin brother, Joel Madden, who is married to Nicole Richie.
