‘La Fin,’ a Super Luxe Bel-Air Mega Mansion Hits the Market for $139M
The “La Fin” mega mansion has a 6,000 square foot night club, a poolside super screen, a a sub-zero vodka tasting room, an outdoor bar with swing seats, and 12 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms—all for just $139 million!
Just when you think you’ve seen it all in opulent amenities, along comes this knockout.
According to those associated with the Los Angeles property, the place is known as La Fin, which means “the end”—as in, “Once you’ve seen it, your search for the ideal home is over.”
But it may well take even the wealthiest buyer to “the end” of their budget, as it’s been recently listed at $139 million, vaulting it onto the Realtor.com® list of the week’s most expensive homes.
This extraordinary Bel-Air beauty took five years to build and was just completed in 2021 by spec developer, real estate investor, and physician Joseph Englanoff, who has also been associated with ultrahigh-end properties including the mansion formerly known as Opus and another dubbed The One, which was auctioned off in 2022 for $141 million.
La Fin — the end all, be all of mega mansions
Yes, it is massive, with its 12 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, and nearly 40,000 square feet. The home’s nightclub alone is reported to be 6,000 square feet, featuring multiple bars and stacked luxury car displays.
That space exemplifies the level at which La Fin embodies luxury. The nightclub space also includes a private wine room with a custom Murano glass art installation. There’s also a fully equipped fitness center with a climbing wall, enough Peloton bikes for an army, a steam room, and a spa.
And that’s just for starters. There’s also a sub-zero vodka tasting room which is rumored to come with faux-fur stoles to keep you warm, as well as a ventilated, humidor-walled cigar lounge.
Theaters? There are two of them. One is a sound-proof, indoor cinema with motorized Belgian leather seating. The other is outdoors, perched beside the infinity-edge pool. It has a 23-foot, retractable LED screen and an outdoor bar with swing seats.
Each room is swathed in the finest materials and curated by elite designers. La Fin is filled with bespoke furnishings created by the Italian artisan workshop La Contessina. And yes, the residence comes furnished.
The grand, glass-walled entryway is adorned with a majestic, 44-foot, crystal chandelier wrapped in a gold-railed spiral staircase.
It leads to a sprawling formal living room illuminated by layered, custom chandeliers and highlighted by a towering fireplace surrounded by handcarved-stone latticework.
As one would guess, the primary suite is the piece de resistance, with its floor-to-ceiling, lacquered, Italian-oak walls; a Portuguese marble fireplace; an infinity terrace with glass railings; and walk-in closets fashioned after those in designer boutiques. The suite’s lavish bathroom flaunts book-matched, Calacatta gold marble and a soaking tub carved from a single block of stone.
The outdoor amenities are equally elegant and are accessed by motorized Fleetwood pocket doors. The aforementioned infinity-edged pool and theater set it apart, but above it all is a rooftop deck with built-in seating, a bar, and a fire pit.
Of course an estate of this magnitude is situated on an equally expansive lot. This one measures 2 acres on a terraced hillside, affording residents and their guests panoramic views of Los Angeles, Century City, and the ocean beyond.
Naturally, safety is crucial for a domain of this scale, and state-of-the-art security takes care of that. The place includes fingerprint access technology, an on-site caretaker residence, and a dedicated security command center.
This is not the first time La Fin has been on the market for $139 million. It’s been listed and relisted a number of times since it first hit the MLS in the latter part of 2022—always at that same price.
