Iconic Hollywood costume designer Edith Head was known for her style, creativity, and remarkable ability to convey emotions and messages through clothes.

And it’s apparent that those same sensibilities came into play when she designed the interiors of her former Palm Springs, CA, home, now on the market for $1,595,000.

The influential, eight-time Oscar winner died in 1981 at age 83. But before that, she reigned over costume design in Hollywood for decades.

Her former getaway—a brick, plaster, and rustic-wood home—was built in 1957 and retains many of her stylish flourishes today.
