Fredrik Eklund, the real estate broker and former star of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York” and “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” is stepping away from his superluxe mansion in Beverly Hills. That’s because he’s moving on to a more permanent footprint in yet another glamorous major metro area: Miami.

“My business is expanding quickly in Miami, and the twins got into one of the best schools there for the Fall,” Eklund explained in a post on Instagram, where he also shared that his husband, Derek Kaplan, “got a super cool art studio in the Miami Design District too. We’re so excited for this new chapter.”

These developments might explain why Eklund put the eight-bedroom sanctuary on the market for $11 million. Alternatively, he’s willing to rent out the place for $50,000 per month.

In 2021, Eklund and Kaplan paid $7,043,017 for the property in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in Beverly Hills’ Coldwater Canyon.

The couple proceeded to tackle an exhaustive renovation on the home, with designer du jour Paris Forino overseeing the work. The result has been featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue.

“We put our hearts into this multi-million dollar renovation and made it colorful and happy,” Eklund shared on Instagram.

He describes it as “East Coast Traditional with a contemporary twist” and likens it to a “zen paradise.”

Luxurious finishes and fixtures are found throughout the home and include custom Glass Italia mirrors, Waterworks fixtures, Apparatus lighting, leather-finish marble, Phillip Jeffries wall coverings, as well as Kvadrat and Svenstk Tenn fabrics—all names and brands that are music to an upscale buyer’s ears.

Behind the home’s private gates and front doors, a two-story foyer with a cloud chandelier and a grand staircase await.

The estate’s open floor plan unfolds with formal dining and living spaces; built-in, floor-to-ceiling bookcases; a marble-clad fireplace; and a disappearing glass wall that leads to the backyard.

A copper, blue, and pink kitchen is quite the standout, with its oversized dining island, breakfast nook with custom-built banquette, and top-of-the-line appliances including a custom L’Atelier Paris range. The cabinets, many of which are glass-fronted, stretch to the ceiling.

The spacious primary suite is another highlight, painted to evoke a “magical pastel sunset.” Coved ceilings, a stone-detailed fireplace, and a private balcony give the room a sumptuous feel.

Outdoors in the ivy-encased, resort-style backyard there are mature olive trees that shade a lushly landscaped dining area, a kitchen with a barbecue and bar, and a seating area around a fireplace. There’s also a pool with an elevated spa and sprawling patio space.

Perfectly matched furnishings are among the features that make this home so remarkable. And with a little negotiating, the buyer might be able to snag the divine residence in its current, flawlessly decorated state.

The house “can come with furniture and art for the right number,” according to Eklund.

In his social media post, he expressed gratitude for the success his family has enjoyed in the Golden State over the past few years.

“We came to Los Angeles four years ago and we have so much to thank California for,” wrote the 46-year-old, Swedish-born real estate broker and reality TV star. “I’ve built a strong team here and we continue to set records. We LOVE this house so much, I will forever cherish these memories with the family.”
