Bye Bye ‘Bu — The Hemsworth Brothers Malibu Beach House Sells for $4.25 Million
The three Hollywood hunks didn’t quite get their asking price, but the Hemsworth brothers Malibu beach house sale was still a big hit.
Malibu residents will be seeing a little less of the hunky Hemsworth brothers in the future, as Chris, Liam, and Luke Hemsworth have just let their California family retreat go, for $4.25 million. It initially landed on the market in September for $4.9 million.
The sale price may sound disappointing, until you consider the fact that the A-list Aussies bought the architectural modern overlooking the Pacific Ocean in March 2016 for $3,450,000.
Shed no tears for the bros, who are among Hollywood’s hottest commodities. It may be they’re just too busy with their careers, and don’t have the time to relax together as they used to.
It’s reported that the brothers were fond of gathering in the four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 4,612-square-foot home with views of both mountains and coastline.
Tall ceilings accommodated their height, and a chef’s kitchen with restaurant-grade Viking, Wolfe, and Sub-Zero appliances, as well as a 750-bottle refrigerated wine cellar, accommodated their appetites.
When it was time for a little rest and relaxation, they could chill in the chic yet comfortable home theater.
The grown-ups will enjoy the luxurious master suite, with its views, dual walk-in closets, and spa bathroom with a steam shower and Calacatta gold marble. The dual walk-in closets are also an asset, as are the towering white walls, ideal for hanging artwork…or movie posters.
It’s also a kids’ paradise, with extra bedrooms that feature built-ins like bunk beds, a sleeping loft with a slide, and their own en suite bathrooms.
The grounds also accommodate a getaway lifestyle. The property is gated and secured, and the house is accessed by a long driveway.
There’s plenty of privacy, but also plenty of open space outdoors. Families could enjoy a spacious dining deck, an outdoor fireplace, gardens, mature landscaping, as well as rolling lawns and natural gardens.
The great outdoors is easily accessible through the floor-to-ceiling sliders. They complement the home’s wide-open floor plan and its low-maintenance but sophisticated concrete flooring.
Even during the pandemic, the Hemsworth brothers have remained in the limelight in Hollywood, with Chris, the middle brother, a staple in the Marvel Universe, as Thor, and also has a number of hit action movies to his name.
The youngest brother, Liam, is perhaps best known for franchises like The Hunger Games and the The Expendables, but he also has other big- and small-screen projects under his belt.
Luke, the eldest brother, has been nominated for awards for his ongoing role in the HBO hit Westworld.
Eric Haskell of The Agency represented the Hemsworths, while Chris Cortazzo and Susan Saul represented the buyer.
