Celebrity Rental News: Guess Who's Letting Out This Batman Bedroom
Oh yeah! For a mere $150,000 per month, you too can sleep in this slick Batman bedroom, and have your fun in dozens of other fancy schmancy rooms in former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Adrienne Maloof’s elaborate estate located in the canyon smack dab between Beverly Hills and Sherman Oaks. But if that one doesn’t suit your fancy, you could also rent chez Sean Hayes in Hancock Park, or a killer Malibu beach house belonging to Italian movie producer Gianni Nunnari.
Maloof’s is by far the most expensive and elaborate. She purchased the 14,000 square foot, six bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom spread for $12.75 million, back in 2013 after she sold the ornate nouveau chateau we all gasped over when we saw it in the Bravo reality series. Other family amenities in this pricy rental include a 2,500 square foot great room,
a screening room,
a double-island kosher kitchen, a master suite with dual bathrooms and dressing rooms,
and a dining room befitting the king and queen of something or other.
Of course the grounds are gated, secured and extensively landscaped, with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue station, a curved, infinity pool and spa, and a poolside guesthouse. And yes, all those ornately gilded furnishings are included in the $150,000 per month rental fee.
For considerably less cash and flash, you can rent Sean Hayes’ ivy-covered English Tudor in the more sedate and centrally located Hancock Park. Since he hasn’t been able to get his asking price of nearly $8.3 million for the place, he’s renting it out for $40,000 per month.
The Will & Grace star’s home measures 6,400 square feet, and has two en suite guest rooms, a massive master suite, and a carriage house with an apartment for inlaws or staff. Interiors were done in elegant neutrals by L.A. designer Chris Barrett.
The residence sits on almost a half an acre, and the grounds include a lovely terrace looking out over mature landscaping, a generous lawn, a swimming pool, and an outdoor lounge with a wisteria-covered pergola.
Now if it’s a beachside manse you’re after, you can spend a little more and rent the Malibu beach house belonging to Italian producer Gianni Nunnari. Okay, so you might not have heard of his name, but you’ve certainly heard of the films he’s produced, including 300, From Dusk to Dawn, Shutter Island, The Departed, and many, many more.
He’s renting out his modern beach home fully furnished and full of contemporary art, for just shy of $60,000 per month. The home, for which he paid $7.84 million just last year, measures 4,600 square feet and has five bedrooms with 5.5 baths and a cook’s kitchen.
It sits right on the beach, and there are floor to ceiling windows, as well as several terraces throughout the home to take advantage of the killer views.
But when you think about it, if you’re paying from $40,000 to $150,000 per month in rent, that would be one hefty house payment on an equally spectacular home. Why not just buy the place? See more details on these remarkable rentals in Variety.com’s Dirt section, or in Variety’s weekly magazine.
